A portion of footage from a wild police chase of a drunk driver in a vehicle transporter truck has been released by police.
The
chase went for an estimated 182km, with police finally resorting to
shooting the tires and fuel tanks of the truck to stop the vehicle
(footage not released by police). It is estimated that around 90 shots
were fired. The pursuit started when the truck driver was involved in a collision with a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and tried to escape.
